Noida International Airport has entered into a strategic collaboration with Akasa Air, India’s newest airline. Akasa Air will establish the upcoming Jewar Airport as its base to operate domestic and international flights from Noida, to support the growing air travel demand in the region. Akasa Air is the second airline after IndiGo to partner with the Noida Airport near Greater Noida region.

The first phase of the Noida International Airport, with one runway, and one terminal will have the capacity to handle traffic of 12 million passengers annually. After the completion of the fourth phase, the airport will have the capacity to manage 70 million passengers per year.
Noida International Airport
Noida International Airport (IATA code – DXN) will connect the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities in India and the world. This world-class airport will combine Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality to offer rich experiences and comprehensive commercial attractions and services to its passengers.
Noida International Airport will be the first airport in its class in India to achieve net zero emissions, setting a new standard for sustainable airport operations. The design of the terminal will take inspiration from rich history of Uttar Pradesh, with temples and havelis inspired facade.
Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) was established for the development, construction and operation of the greenfield project – the Noida International Airport. The company, a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, is responsible for the implementation of the public-private partnership project in close partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India.
The concession period for Noida International Airport commenced on October 01, 2021 and will run for 40 years. At its opening at the end of 2024, the airport will feature one runway and one terminal and handle a capacity of 12 million passengers – with the potential for further development in additional construction phases.
Akasa Air At Wings India 2024
Akasa Air, India’s fastest growing and newest airline recently placed an additional order of 150 Boeing 737 Max aircraft at the ongoing Wings India 2024 airshow in Hyderabad. With this, Akasa Air has placed a total order of 222 Boeing 737 Max planes, 22 of which have been delivered already.
