Akasa Air has announced the addition of Gorakhpur as the 23rd destination to its network with direct connectivity to and from Delhi and Bengaluru, starting May 29, 2024. Akasa Air is the only airline to provide daily flights between Bengaluru and Gorakhpur. With this launch, the airline strengthens its presence in Uttar Pradesh, with Gorakhpur being the fifth destination in the state, after Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj.
Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has served over 8 million passengers and connects with 24 cities, namely Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Doha (Qatar) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
