Ajinkya Rahane, the former test team captain of India, has recently purchased a luxurious Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV, joining the club of celebrities who own the opulent vehicle such as Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood, and others. The SUV is among the most expensive cars in the Indian market and comes with a starting price of Rs 2.96 crore (ex-showroom). The SUV is the most expensive one in the German brand’s SUV lineup in India.

The Maybach GLS SUV is popular among celebrities due to its plush interior and luxurious appeal, making it a worthy competitor of other high-end cars like Range Rover, Bentley Bentayga, Rolls Royce Cullinan, and Maserati Levante.
The Maybach badge adds to the appeal of the SUV, making it a car that is packed with features like Nappa leather upholstery, seats with massage and ventilation functions, extendable folding tables in the second row, and a built-in refrigerator, among others.
Ajinkya Rahane’s Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV comes in the Polar White color scheme, among other options like Selenit Silver, Obsidian Black, Emerald Green, Mojave Silver, Iridium Silver, Brilliant Blue, and more. The vehicle is also available in dual-tone colors to give it a more sophisticated look.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine that can produce 557 bhp of power and 730 Nm of torque. The 48-volt mild-hybrid system adds an extra 22 bhp and 250 Nm to the power unit, and it works with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Even with its bulky appearance, the SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 250 kmph.
