Airlines are often under fire from passengers because of the kind of food served on flights. Often the complaints are because of the quality or taste of food served on the plane. However, this time the complaint addresses a screw found in the sandwich served on an IndiGo flight. The incident occurred with a passenger travelling on an IndiGo flight who shared the details in his post on Reddit with the pictures of the sandwich in his hand.

Based on the details shared on social media, the incident occurred when the redditor was travelling on a flight from Bengaluru to Chennai. On this flight, he was served a corn-spinach cheese sandwich which had a big screw in it. In his post, he said that after the unpleasant experience he asked the airline for an apology, to which he did not receive an appropriate response.
In his post on Reddit, he said, “While traveling inIndigo recently on 01/02/24 from BNG to Chennai i got a screw in my samdwich, when i urged for an applogy from the airlines end they came back with a response that wince inconsumed it post flight it couldnt be found legible!!!! #indigo how should i approach this so Indigo can atleast respond.”
His post gained traction on social media platforms and multiple users reacted to the post criticising the airline. While others sarcastically reacted to the post targeted at the shortcomings of the airline.
One of the users on the platform said, “So you consumed this outside the airplane ( post deboarding ) and that’s why Indigo says ” not their bizzzznesss” ?” While another user pointed out that the sandwich was expired. Meanwhile, there were others who suggested to file a formal complaint against the airline.
