The NCR region is rapidly getting new-age transport and infrastructure projects, and Uttar Pradesh is right at the top of approving and constructing such projects. One such rail project that has put India on a global map of the transport industry is the world-class Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), now known as Namo Bharat. Earlier called RapidX, the first Rapid Rail train will connect Delhi with Meerut.
Starting from Delhi, the train will pass through Ghaziabad and reach Meerut, covering 82 km in under an hour, with the metro train running at a speed of 160 kmph, making it the fastest train in India. NCRTC, the nodal body developing the RapidX is working to finish the inaugural line on time.

While the priority section of Sahibabad-Duhai Depot is already operational, the Uttar Pradesh stategovernment has now finalized a new RapidX regional rapid transit system (RRTS) line linking Ghaziabad to the upcoming Jewar Airport called the Noida International Airport.
Jewar Airport – Ghaziabad RRTS line: Route
The newly approved Jewar Airport – Ghaziabad Rapid Rail will pass via Greater Noida West, Surajpur and Pari Chowk. Reports suggest that the Jewar Airport – Ghaziabad RRTS line is planned to be developed in 2 phases:
Phase 1: In the phase 1, the train will connect Ghaziabad – Kasna with 7 new stations at Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida West Sector 4, Greater Noida West Sector 2, Knowledge Park V, Surajpur, Pari Chowk and Ecotech 6
Phase 2: The Phase 2 will see the extension of line from Kasna – Jewar Airport with 4 new stations at Dankaur, YEIDA North Sector 18, YEIDA Central Sector 21 and Jewar Airport
This 72 km new semi high-speed line will have 12 elevated stations. As reported, the line’s southern terminal will be built at Jewar International Airport, which is being developed by Flughafen Zürich AG.

New Noida Metro Route
As the work on the upcoming Noida Airport intensifies, so is the planning to connect the Airport wil the rest of the NCR. Apart from the new RRTS Line between Ghaziabad – Jewar Airport, Noida Metro Rail Corporation has now announced to built a new Metro line connecting the NIA with rest of Noida.
The new Line will comprise of total eight new metro stations, which stretches to approximately 11.56 kilometers. Once operational, metro trains running on this route will connect the Botanical Garden and Sector 142 of Aqua Line, providing a convenient option for commuters from Delhi to Greater Noida.
The new route is said to enhance connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi. Additionally, the Magenta Line will directly connect to Indira Gandhi International Airport, thus opening connectivity to New Delhi and Anand Vihar Railway Stations via the Blue Line.
