The Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 has been missing for around a decade now. However, the experts now claim that the missing aircraft can be found within “days” if a new search operation is conducted. As per the South China Morning Post, pilot Patrick Belly and aerospace expert Jean-Luck Marchand called for a new search to get more information into the disappearance of the aircraft.
The duo claimed that the search could find the flight in 10 days during a lecture before the Royal Aeronautical Society in London. Jean-Luc Marchand demanded that a new search be conducted by the Australian Transport Safety Authority and the Malaysian authorities.
News.com.au quotes him saying, “We have done our homework. We have a proposal … the area is small and considering new capabilities it will take 10 days. It could be a quick thing. Until the wreck of MH370 is found, nobody knows (what happened). But, this is a plausible trajectory.”
Since both experts thought the plane was deliberately downed and hijacked, they suggested a new search area. According to Jean-Luc Marchand, the aircraft was travelling on a “horrible one-way journey.”
He added, “We think, and the study that we’ve done has shown us, that the hijacking was probably performed by an experienced pilot. The cabin was depressurised … and it was a soft control ditching to produce minimal debris. It was performed to not be trapped or found. Certainly, the aircraft was not visible except for the military. The guy knew that if search and rescue would be triggered, it would be on the flight path.”
The Flight MH370 flying from Kuala Lumpur Airport in southern Malaysia with 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board vanished from sight. On March 8, 2014, it was travelling to China when the event occurred. Even the debris of the aircraft was not found, therefore the search efforts were fruitless.
