Noida Authority, Greater Noida Development Authority, and other government bodies in Uttar Pradesh are working in tandem to connect the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar with Noida and Ghaziabad to offer seamless connectivity to travels. Under the same, a 72.26 km RapidX-cum-metro route from Ghaziabad to Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar was recently announced.
RRTS is the India’s fastest metro rail and first corridor is being built on Delhi-Meerut route, passing via Ghaziabad, Modinagar and Muradnagar. Govt recently renamed the trains to Namo Bharat Trains and the Ghaziabad terminal will serve as a starting point for the Noida Airport corridor.

Currently the RRTS corridor is active on Ghaziabad’s 17 km priority section. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has recently revealed the list of 25 stations that will be part of detailed project report (DPR). The corridor includes 38 stations overall, 11 among these are designated for RapidX, while 14 are for metro stoppages.

Noida International Airport
The RapidX (Namo Bharat) will also provide fast connectivity between Noida Airport and IGI Airport in Delhi with an operational speed of 140 KMPH and a maximum speed of 150 KMPH. UP government approved the Ghaziabad RRTS station to Noida Airport route in December 2023.
The RapidX train will run alternatively on the same route for the Greater Noida West Extension corridor, that will connect Sector 61 with Knowledge Park V.
