Ultraviolette becomes the first Indian company to retail electric motorcycles in Europe, with the X-47 Venom offering a 323 km IDC range, 30 kW power and a top speed of 155 kmph.
Ultraviolette Automotive has launched its X-47 Venom electric motorcycle in Europe at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The development marks a significant milestone for the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, which claims to have become the first Indian company to retail electric motorcycles in the European market. The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle based on the company’s new VX-100 100V powertrain architecture and combines crossover styling with advanced rider assistance technologies.
Alongside the X-47 Venom, Ultraviolette also unveiled the Tesseract Maxi electric scooter for European markets, showcased the Shockwave lightweight electric enduro platform and presented futuristic AI-enabled helmet concepts.
Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Performance And Range
The X-47 Venom is powered by a 100V VX-100 architecture and SRB-11 battery technology. Its electric motor produces a peak power output of 30 kW (40 hp) and 550 Nm of wheel torque. The motorcycle has a claimed IDC range of 323 km and a top speed of 155 kmph.
In terms of acceleration, the electric motorcycle can sprint from 0-60 kmph in 2.7 seconds and from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. Its kerb weight stands at 180 kg, while ground clearance is rated at 200mm.
The motorcycle also introduces the UV LIGHTFURY motor, which uses advanced Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC) technology derived from aerospace applications. It gets a 1.6 kW onboard charger, designed to support AC charging even in ambient temperatures ranging from 45 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Advanced Radar Technology And Rider Safety Features
One of the major highlights of the X-47 Venom is Ultraviolette’s UV Hypersense radar intelligence system, which brings integrated radar technology to the motorcycle segment.
The safety package includes Bosch dual-channel switchable ABS, four-level traction control and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). The motorcycle also gets an integrated front and rear dashcam system featuring Sony IMX307 sensors.
Other technology highlights include a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with UV INTERFACE X, integrated navigation powered by Mappls, real-time vehicle connectivity and software updates.
The X-47 Venom also gets cruise control functionality across all three riding modes, adding convenience during longer highway journeys. Park Assist uses a rear-camera feed to improve visibility and manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
The motorcycle has received road-use approval across Europe, marking an important step in Ultraviolette’s international expansion.
Ultraviolette Tesseract Maxi Makes European Debut
Ultraviolette also showcased the Tesseract Maxi electric scooter for the first time in Europe. The maxi-scooter features integrated Hypersense radar technology and a dashcam system, along with Omnisense mirrors supporting Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtaking Assist and real-time Collision Alerts.
The scooter is powered by a 6 kWh battery pack and produces 15 kW (20 hp) of peak power. Its fast-charging capability allows the battery to reach 80% charge in under an hour.
Additional features include traction control, regenerative braking, a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display and 14-inch wheels. It also offers 32 litres of under-seat storage, while touring accessories such as a touring visor, knuckle guards, tail bag and pannier stays enhance its practicality.
Violette AI And Futuristic Helmet Concepts
Another major focus of Ultraviolette’s EICMA showcase was its connected rider ecosystem, developed in collaboration with SoundHound AI.
The VIOLETTE A.I. system uses voice-based assistance, activated through the wake phrase ‘Violette’. Riders can use voice commands to change riding modes, initiate navigation, access vehicle information and check recommended tyre pressures, service instructions and other user manual information.
The system also supports pre-ride checks, ride statistics, proactive alerts and service notifications through the motorcycle’s 7-inch INTERFACE X display.
Ultraviolette additionally presented three AI-enabled helmet concepts: STAR VUE, FANG 01 and DECIBELLE. These concepts explore augmented reality, advanced rider protection and integrated high-definition audio technology.
Ultraviolette Strengthens Its Global Presence
Commenting on the European launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the X-47 Venom expands the company’s international portfolio by combining crossover versatility, radar technology and integrated cameras.
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, highlighted the company’s developments across battery systems, powertrain engineering, vehicle intelligence, connectivity, software and safety.
