The BIC race weekend began with the opening races of Round 2 of the IRL and Round 4 of the F4 Indian Championship.

Sai Shiva Sankaran of Kolkata Royal Tigers finished second in 27:55.806, while Jemma Moore of Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru secured third place in 27:56.070.

Chennai Turbo Riders’ Tijil Rao also produced a strong recovery, climbing from eighth to second position before a car breakdown on the final lap ended his challenge.

In the opening F4 race, Ntiyiso Mabunda of Speed Demons Delhi claimed victory in 32:46.842. Sunday featured two F4 Indian Championship races and the second IRL contest. Narola emerged as the day’s standout performer by winning both F4 races.

In the first race, Swarnav Das initially led the field before Narola overtook him on the second lap to move into first place. Sambudla also challenged for the lead, moving ahead of Das and putting pressure on Narola.

However, Sambudla’s race ended prematurely due to engine problems with a couple of laps remaining. Narola held on to win, with Aris Kyriakou finishing second and Mabunda taking third.

Narola continued his winning run in the second F4 race, leading from the start and resisting repeated challenges from Arjun Chheda and Mabunda. Chheda finished second, while Mabunda secured another third-place finish.

The double victory strengthened Narola’s championship campaign and gave Goa Aces JA Racing a successful end to the F4 weekend.

Alva Wins Dramatic Second IRL Race

The second IRL race of the weekend delivered another closely contested battle, with Ruhaan Alva taking victory for Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru.

Shane Chanderia had initially moved ahead of Alva and led for several laps. However, car trouble forced Chanderia out of contention, allowing Alva to capitalise and secure the win.

Mohamed Ryan of Hyderabad Blackbirds finished second, while Malaysian racer Alister Yoong of Speed Demons Delhi completed the podium in third place.

The BIC round brought an eventful weekend of racing to a close, with Narola’s F4 double and Alva’s IRL victory providing the key highlights of the Indian Racing Festival’s Greater Noida leg.
