HMSI registers 13% year-on-year growth, with domestic sales rising 11% and exports jumping 35% during the month.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) recorded total sales of 7,34,566 units in October 2026, registering 13% year-on-year growth compared to 6,50,596 units sold in the same month last year. The performance was supported by growth in both domestic and export markets during the festive season.
Domestic sales stood at 6,64,831 units in October 2026, marking an 11% increase over 5,98,952 units recorded in October 2025. Exports registered a stronger growth of 35%, reaching 69,735 units compared to 51,644 units in the corresponding period last year.
The latest figures indicate continued demand for Honda’s two-wheelers in India, alongside an improvement in overseas shipments.
HMSI Records 15% Sales Growth In FY27 So Far
Honda’s sales performance also remained positive during the first seven months of FY2027. Between April and October 2026, the company recorded total sales of 41,74,638 units, registering 15% growth over 36,44,151 units sold during the same period last year.
Domestic sales during April-October 2026 reached 37,08,903 units, up 13% from 32,80,990 units in the corresponding period of FY2026.
Exports stood at 4,65,735 units during the seven-month period, representing a 28% increase over 3,63,161 units shipped between April and October 2025.
The export business, therefore, continued to grow at a faster rate than domestic sales, contributing to HMSI’s overall year-to-date performance.
Festive Demand Supports October Sales
HMSI said it continued to witness steady underlying demand during the festive season in October. The company is focusing on serving customers through its product portfolio and an extensive dealer network comprising more than 7,000 touchpoints across India.
The automaker operates four manufacturing plants in the country, located in Manesar, Tapukara, Narsapura and Vithalapur. As of October 2026, HMSI said it had served more than 76 million customers through its nationwide network.

For April-October 2026, total sales increased to 41,74,638 units, compared to 36,44,151 units in the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales grew 13% to 37,08,903 units, while exports increased 28% to 4,65,735 units.
With 13% growth in October and 15% growth in the April-October period, HMSI has maintained positive sales momentum in FY2027, supported by demand in the domestic market and rising exports.
