The new electric motorcycle debuts Ultraviolette’s VX-100 100V architecture, a 30kW motor, 12kW DC fast charging and advanced radar-based rider assistance.
Ultraviolette Automotive has launched the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.65 lakh, bringing its new VX-100 100V platform to the market. The next-generation motorcycle offers an IDC-certified range of 343km, a top speed of 155kmph and a claimed 0-100kmph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in November 2026.
The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on the company’s new VX-100 architecture. Bookings open on October 22, 2026, at 4 PM IST, with sales available through Ultraviolette’s UV Space Stations across India. The introductory price applies to the first 5,000 customers.
Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Performance and Specifications
The X-47 Venom produces 30kW (40hp) of peak power and 550Nm of wheel torque. It accelerates from 0-60kmph in 2.7 seconds and reaches 100kmph in 5.9 seconds. Ultraviolette claims the latter figure outperforms all internal combustion engine motorcycles in the 200-450cc segment.
The electric motorcycle has a top speed of 155kmph and a kerb weight of 180kg, making it up to 20kg lighter than the previous-generation platform. It also offers 200mm of ground clearance and cruise control for sustained highway riding.
Power comes from the newly developed UV LIGHTFURY motor, which uses soft magnetic composite (SMC) technology. The motor is designed to deliver higher power density while reducing weight and energy losses. Its compact construction is also intended to improve handling and climbing performance.
New VX-100 Platform and Battery Technology
The VX-100 architecture introduces a 100V electrical platform designed to improve performance, energy efficiency, thermal management and charging capability. It incorporates the SRB-11 battery technology, which features up to 20% greater energy density and twice the cooling performance.
Ultraviolette has also developed an optimised thermal path designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster. The battery uses a cast-aluminium housing for structural strength and impact protection, alongside an IP67-rated construction.
Safety features include a battery management system (BMS), cell-level fuses and a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected.
The motorcycle also receives a new motor control unit that is twice as compact and offers three times the power density, helping reduce packaging weight and volume.
12kW DC Fast Charging and Radar-Based Safety
The X-47 Venom supports 12kW external DC fast charging, a capability Ultraviolette describes as unique to the Indian electric two-wheeler segment. It also features a 1.6kW onboard charger. The DC charging system incorporates safeguards against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive temperature and short circuits.
Rider assistance technology includes UV Hypersense, which uses a 77GHz long-range rear radar capable of monitoring distances of up to 200 metres. The system supports blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. In the event of a detected rear-collision threat, it can alert the rider through the integrated mirrors and activate the hazard lights.
Other features include a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen under UV INTERFACE X, rear-camera-based park assist, Mappls-integrated navigation and connected functions with software updates. The VIOLETTE A.I. package offers movement, fall, towing and crash alerts, remote lockdown, Delta Watch and an anti-collision warning system. Ultraviolette also promises extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000km.
B-MAX Rider Safety Vest Introduced
Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette has introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest designed to extend protection beyond the vehicle. The company claims 2X CE safety standards and 86% force attenuation, with protection covering the collar, back, chest, sides and hips. The vest incorporates multiple protective elements and can be reused up to five times.
Ultraviolette will launch the X-47 Venom in Europe on November 3, 2026, at EICMA in Milan, Italy
