Two-year partnership will promote Pure Motorcycling, responsible travel and immersive experiences across Madhya Pradesh
Royal Enfield and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) have announced a two-year partnership aimed at promoting responsible riding, motorcycle tourism and deeper cultural exploration across the state. The collaboration, which runs from 2026 to 2028, began with the flag-off of a specially curated motorcycle expedition covering some of Madhya Pradesh’s most prominent wildlife, heritage and natural destinations.
The inaugural expedition commenced on October 1, 2026, with 20 riders from different parts of India setting out on the recently launched Royal Enfield Bullet 650 – Old School Forever. The 10-day expedition covers more than 1,520 kilometres, taking riders through a combination of mountain roads, jungle highways, heritage routes and lesser-known trails.
The planned route covers Bhopal, Pachmarhi, Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Panna and back to Bhopal, offering participants an opportunity to experience Madhya Pradesh from the saddle while exploring its natural and cultural heritage. Press Note_RE And MP Tourism Bo…
Beyond conventional tourist routes
The partnership is built around Royal Enfield’s philosophy of Pure Motorcycling, while encouraging travellers to explore destinations beyond conventional tourist corridors. According to the companies, the objective is to create a more authentic connection between riders, local communities, landscapes and traditions.
For Royal Enfield, the journey itself remains an important part of the riding experience. The company believes that changing landscapes, regional food, local interactions and cultural experiences form an integral part of motorcycle travel. Madhya Pradesh, with its combination of forests, heritage sites and diverse terrain, provides a broad canvas for this approach.
The inaugural expedition was flagged off in Bhopal in the presence of senior officials, including Dr. Ilayaraja T., Secretary, Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board; Shri Dileep Kumar Yadav, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation; and Prof. Amitabh Pandey, Director of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, along with representatives from Royal Enfield and participating riders.
More motorcycle experiences planned
The inaugural ride is scheduled to conclude with a closing ceremony in Bhopal on October 9, featuring regional cultural performances, a celebratory meal and recognition of the participating riders.
The partnership will continue beyond the first expedition. Over the next two years, Royal Enfield and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board plan to develop new formats including co-curated heritage rides, off-road trail explorations and experiential motorcycling journeys.
The collaboration is therefore expected to position Madhya Pradesh as an even stronger destination for motorcycle tourism, while promoting a style of travel that combines riding with responsible exploration, cultural immersion and engagement with local landscapes and communities.
