The new electric maxi scooter gets a 4.2 kWh battery, claimed 120 km range, 105 kmph top speed and 26-litre under-seat storage.
TVS Motor Company has unveiled the production-ready M1-S electric maxi scooter at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy, ahead of its planned European market launch. First showcased in concept form at EICMA 2025, the M1-S returns with its production-ready specification, featuring a 12.5 kW peak motor, a claimed range of up to 120 km and connected technology.
The M1-S is designed for urban commuters seeking the comfort and storage capacity of a full-size maxi scooter, combined with responsive electric performance. Developed in Singapore, it is the company’s first electric maxi scooter and will be part of its expanding electric vehicle portfolio in Europe.
TVS M1-S: Motor, Performance And Range
The electric maxi scooter uses a chassis-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that produces a rated output of 5 kW and a peak output of 12.5 kW. TVS claims that the M1-S can accelerate from 0 to 50 kmph in 3.7 seconds, while its top speed stands at 105 kmph.
Power comes from a 4.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with NMC chemistry, mounted low in the floorboard. This positioning is intended to lower the centre of gravity and contribute to a stable and balanced riding experience.
TVS expects the M1-S to deliver a range of up to 120 km based on internal testing and its current riding-mode configuration. The battery supports 1.8 kW charging, with a claimed 10-80 per cent charging time of 75 minutes. An onboard charger compatible with a household socket is part of the package.
Design, Chassis And Hardware
The M1-S follows a full-size maxi scooter design, developed around three principles: Presence, Tamed Emotions and Framed Surfaces. Its styling combines confident proportions with restrained detailing, contrasting surfaces and sharply framed body panels. LED lighting, including distinctive front position lights, completes the design.
The scooter measures 1,970 mm in length, 730 mm in width and 1,190 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,350 mm. It gets an 800 mm seat height, 170 mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 150 kg. The European launch version will be available in Spectre Black, with other colour options expected later.
The M1-S uses a tubular steel frame, telescopic front forks and dual adjustable rear suspension units. It rides on 14-inch wheels with 110/70 front and 120/70 rear tyres. Braking is handled by 230 mm disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS. Tyre pressure monitoring and cruise control are also included.
Storage And Connected Features
Practicality is a key focus, with the M1-S offering a 26-litre under-seat storage compartment designed to accommodate a full-face helmet. The front apron gets two additional storage spaces, including a glovebox with a USB-A charging socket and an open compartment capable of holding a 500 ml water bottle or smaller items.
The feature list includes a seven-inch TFT instrument display with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and onboard LTE connectivity. The scooter is compatible with an Android and iOS app, which supports functions such as app-based starting, seat opening, find-my-bike and service updates. Over-the-air software updates are also supported, while key-fob starting is provided.
TVS M1-S European Launch Details
The M1-S is among three electric models displayed by TVS Motor at EICMA 2026, alongside the Orbiter and TVS X. The company has not announced market-specific pricing or sales dates yet.
The technical figures are based on TVS Motor’s pre-homologation specifications and remain subject to approval. The final homologated figures may change, while the claimed range is based on internal testing and the current riding-mode configuration.
