TVS Motor Company has unveiled the production-ready RTR 125 LC at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The new lightweight performance motorcycle has been showcased in its full European specification and is aimed at A1 licence holders looking for a sporty motorcycle for daily commuting and weekend rides.
The RTR 125 LC combines an aggressively styled streetfighter design with a liquid-cooled 125cc engine, six-speed gearbox, ride modes and connected features. Its equipment package includes a 5-inch TFT display with full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation.
TVS RTR 125 LC: Engine And Performance
Powering the new motorcycle is a 125cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 11 kW (14.9 PS) at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a multiplate full assist and slipper clutch.
According to TVS, this setup is intended to deliver smooth gear changes and controlled downshifts. Ride modes are also provided, allowing riders to adapt the motorcycle’s responses to changing road and riding conditions.
Chassis, Suspension And Braking
The RTR 125 LC is built around TVS’ Synchro Stiff Chassis, which combines a trellis frame with a cast swingarm. The suspension setup consists of a 41 mm KYB upside-down front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock.
The motorcycle rides on alloy wheels with a 100/80-17 front tyre and a 140/70-R17 rear tyre. Braking is handled by a 300 mm front disc with a radially mounted Bybre caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a Bybre caliper. Dual-channel ABS is part of the safety package, alongside the selectable ride modes.
Streetfighter Design And Features
The new TVS motorcycle gets a hyper-naked streetfighter design, featuring a distinctive tank shoulder-blade treatment, sharply sculpted bodywork and an aggressive, mass-forward stance. The exposed trellis frame further contributes to its sporty appearance.
Lighting duties are handled by a rectangular LED projector headlamp with a distinctive daytime running light, a tri-split LED tail lamp and LED turn indicators. A hazard lamp is also included.
The feature list includes a 5-inch TFT instrument display with multiway Bluetooth connectivity. Full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation are designed to keep route guidance visible to the rider, making the motorcycle more convenient for everyday use and longer journeys.
TVS Expands Its European Line-Up
The RTR 125 LC was showcased alongside three electric models at TVS Motor Company’s EICMA stand: the M1-S maxi electric scooter, the Orbiter urban commuter and the TVS X. The company stated that its overall line-up on display has expanded from six models in 2025 to 11 in 2026.
TVS opened its European chapter with its first EICMA appearance in 2025, following the launch of its Global Centre of Excellence for Design and Engineering in Bologna, Italy.
The technical figures released for the RTR 125 LC are based on TVS Motor’s pre-homologation specifications and remain subject to homologation. Final figures may change. The company has not announced pricing or a market launch timeline for the motorcycle in the press release.
