The updated motorcycles feature ride-by-wire technology, cruise control and advanced rider aids, with introductory prices starting at Rs 1.27 lakh.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Xtreme 160R 4V and refreshed Xtreme 250R in India, strengthening its premium motorcycle portfolio with updated styling, performance improvements and new rider-focused technology. The Xtreme 160R 4V receives a comprehensive redesign, while the Xtreme 250R gains additional equipment, refined detailing and enhanced riding versatility.

The company has priced the Xtreme 160R 4V from Rs 1.27 lakh and the refreshed Xtreme 250R at Rs 1.98 lakh, both ex-showroom, Delhi. Bookings for both motorcycles open on October 17, 2026, while deliveries are scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Gets Complete Redesign

The all-new Xtreme 160R 4V features a revised design with sharper tank shrouds, muscular bodywork and a more aggressive streetfighter stance. Its ergonomically contoured fuel tank is designed to improve knee grip and rider comfort.

The motorcycle gets a full-LED lighting package featuring an auto-illuminating Class D headlamp with an ambient light sensor, projector high beam, H-shaped daytime running lights, an H-shaped LED tail lamp and full-LED turn indicators. Red and black front wheel rim options add further customisation.

Power comes from a 163cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine producing 17.1 PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Hero MotoCorp claims a 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds, positioning it as the fastest motorcycle in its segment.

The engine also features a finned oil cooler intended to maintain thermal stability during extended riding. For ownership convenience, the company states that no oil change or tappet adjustment is required until 6,000 km.

Ride-by-Wire and Cruise Control on the Xtreme 160R 4V

The motorcycle introduces electronic throttle control, enabling three riding modes: Rain, Road and Sport. These modes adjust throttle response for different riding conditions and preferences.

It also becomes the first motorcycle in its segment to feature cruise control, according to Hero MotoCorp. Another notable addition is Panic Brake Alert, which notifies surrounding traffic during sudden, hard braking.

Braking duties are handled by dual-channel ABS with a 276mm front petal disc and a 220mm rear disc. Suspension comprises 37mm KYB upside-down front forks and a seven-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock.

The new TFT console displays riding modes, gear position, shift advisory, cruise control status, distance to empty and real-time mileage. Bluetooth connectivity supports call and message alerts, music, phone battery information and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features include illuminated switchgear, hazard lights, a Type-C fast charger and five-step adjustable brake and clutch levers.

Refreshed Xtreme 250R Gets More Technology

The refreshed Xtreme 250R retains its 250cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine, producing 30 PS at 9,250 rpm and 25.3 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Hero MotoCorp claims a 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds.

Visual updates include gold-anodised front forks, carbon-fibre hydro-dipped panels, coloured rims with rim tapes, revised graphics and embossed detailing. The motorcycle also receives more than 50 fit-and-finish enhancements, including refined component finishes, braided cables and a new swingarm tail cover.

The updated model introduces cruise control and the company’s first sensorless, bi-directional quickshifter, allowing clutchless upshifts and downshifts without closing the throttle.

Four Riding Modes and New Suspension Technology

The Xtreme 250R offers four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport and Track. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System displays real-time tyre pressure and temperature, with colour-coded alerts for pressure deviations.

Another key addition is Frequency Selective Damping rear suspension, which Hero MotoCorp describes as a first in the two-wheeler industry. The system uses an additional piston to provide two rebound-damping profiles based on the frequency of road inputs. The motorcycle continues with its trellis frame and 43mm upside-down front forks.

A new full-colour TFT instrument cluster includes Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, phone battery status, a lap timer and a drag timer.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V and Xtreme 250R Prices

The Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants: Standard at Rs 1.27 lakh, Pro at Rs 1.37 lakh and Carbon at Rs 1.41 lakh. All prices are introductory and ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle will be sold through Hero MotoCorp and Hero Premia dealerships.

The refreshed Xtreme 250R is priced at Rs 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, and is offered in Carbon Red, Carbon White and Carbon Black. It will be available through Hero Premia dealerships across India.

With these launches, Hero MotoCorp is expanding its Xtreme range with additional technology and equipment across the 160cc and 250cc motorcycle segments.
