The automaker will invest approximately ₹4,000 crore and introduce seven new products and five major upgrades over the next three years.

Stellantis has announced a major expansion plan for India, with Jeep and Citroën set to introduce 12 products over the next three years. The product offensive will include seven all-new models and five major upgrades across the B, C and D SUV segments, along with an MPV, an A-segment car and a premium pickup.

The first product under the new roadmap is scheduled to launch by the second quarter of 2027. The plan forms part of Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, which aims to move the company from establishing its business in India to scaling its presence across key passenger vehicle segments.

Stellantis will invest approximately ₹4,000 crore over the next three years to support the new product and business strategy. This will take the company’s cumulative investment in India from more than ₹11,000 crore to approximately ₹15,000 crore by 2030.

The roadmap includes five Jeep launches and seven Citroën launches. While Jeep will focus on strengthening its presence in the premium SUV market, Citroën will target mainstream and higher-volume segments with products designed around comfort, design and technology.

Stellantis India’s business grew 35 per cent in the second quarter of calendar year 2026 compared with the first quarter. Citroën’s retail sales also increased 68 per cent in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year.

Jeep’s upcoming product strategy will expand the brand’s participation across multiple SUV segments. The new models are expected to build on Jeep’s established focus on capability, distinctive SUV design and brand authenticity. The company also plans to introduce advanced powertrain options as part of the expansion.

Citroën, meanwhile, will focus on increasing its reach in larger-volume segments. The brand’s future products will be tailored to Indian customer requirements, with emphasis on comfort, design and technology. Stellantis expects the wider portfolio to help Citroën reach a significantly larger customer base.

Multi-Energy Powertrain Portfolio

The upcoming portfolio will follow a multi-energy strategy, covering efficient internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery-electric vehicles.

Stellantis said powertrain choices will be determined by customer requirements, affordability, regulations, infrastructure readiness and segment economics. The company aims to match each vehicle with the powertrain technology most suitable for its intended use and customer base.

India to Gain Larger Global Role

Stellantis currently operates manufacturing facilities at Ranjangaon in Maharashtra and Thiruvallur and Hosur in Tamil Nadu. It also has engineering and software capabilities in Bengaluru, an ICT presence in Hyderabad and a growing domestic supplier ecosystem.

Localisation will remain central to the strategy, with the company targeting localisation levels of 90 per cent across Jeep and Citroën. Stellantis also plans to strengthen India’s role in its global sourcing operations.

The company currently exports vehicles and components from India to approximately 50 countries. Around 95 per cent of the engines and gearboxes produced at its Hosur facility are exported. Under FaSTLAne 2030, India-developed vehicles are also planned for export as part of Stellantis’ Asia-Pacific strategy.
