The partnership brings over 220 customer touchpoints, a five-year warranty and planned launches of four new models to strengthen Hero’s presence in Guatemala.
Hero MotoCorp has partnered with ERMAR Sociedad Anónima, which operates as Distrito Moto, to strengthen its sales, service and customer support network in Guatemala. Announced on October 23, 2026, the strategic partnership aims to support the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer’s long-term growth in Central America while improving access to motorcycles, genuine spare parts, authorised technical services and financing options.
The partnership brings together Hero MotoCorp’s engineering and product expertise with Distrito Moto’s industry experience and understanding of the local market. The combined network comprises more than 220 customer touchpoints across Guatemala, including over 60 Distrito Moto sales points and more than 140 Tecno Fácil touchpoints.
Customers will also receive a warranty of five years or 60,000km, whichever comes first, subject to applicable terms.
Hero MotoCorp Plans Four New Model Introductions
As part of its expansion plans, Hero MotoCorp intends to introduce four models in Guatemala: the Hunk 250R, Xpulse 210, Hunk 150 Xtec ABS and Xoom 125. The company has not specified launch dates for these models.
Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President – Global Business, Global Product Planning and Global Market Insights at Hero MotoCorp, said more than 100,000 customers in Guatemala had placed their trust in the brand.
He added that the partnership, supported by the strength of ILP Group and Distelsa, would reinforce the company’s commitment to existing customers while supporting its growth ambitions in Latin America.
Bhan also highlighted the company’s engineering capabilities, product quality and customer-focused approach as factors supporting its plans to address the evolving requirements of Guatemalan riders.
Financing and Nationwide Customer Support
The partnership will provide customers with access to financing options through Solvensa, alongside dedicated customer support. Financing remains subject to eligibility and applicable terms.
Javier Lainez, Commercial Head at Distrito Moto, said the objective was to make Hero motorcycle ownership more accessible and rewarding for customers in Guatemala. The company plans to support riders through competitive pricing, financing options and assistance throughout the ownership experience, from purchasing a motorcycle to maintaining it.
Initial customer-facing locations include Aguilar Batres, Zona 9, Quo Zona 4 and Eskala Roosevelt. Existing Hero owners can also approach Distrito Moto for guidance on authorised servicing and genuine spare parts.
The rollout builds on the local campaign, “Guate, estamos aquí para que sigas”, which translates to “Guatemala, we’re here to keep you moving.” The campaign highlights the role of motorcycles in helping people commute to work, support their families and develop their businesses.
