New MD will also continue leading the Industrial Markets business within Power Systems as Cummins strengthens its focus on growth in India
Cummins India Limited has appointed Gbile Adewunmi as its Managing Director and India Regional Leader, effective November 1, 2026. Adewunmi will take on the expanded responsibilities alongside his existing role as leader of Industrial Markets within the company’s Power Systems business.
The appointment was announced on October 8, 2026, by Cummins India, a leading power solutions technology provider. Adewunmi will continue to lead the Industrial Markets line of business while overseeing the company’s operations and regional leadership responsibilities in India.
The leadership change comes as India remains a strategic growth market for Cummins, with the company focusing on delivering power solutions for customers across multiple industrial sectors.
Extensive experience across industrial markets
Adewunmi currently serves as Vice President, Power Systems Industrial Markets at Cummins. In this role, he has worked closely with customers and partners across demanding industrial sectors, including mining, to develop practical and scalable power solutions.
His experience includes work on hybrid-electric retrofit solutions, mining technologies and other power systems designed to improve customer productivity, reliability and emissions performance.
