VinFast reported revenue of VND 30,340.9 billion in the second quarter of 2026, supported by higher electric car and two-wheeler deliveries and growth across international markets.
VinFast reported an 85.5% year-on-year increase in revenue to VND 30,340.9 billion (US$1,203.7 million) in the second quarter of 2026, as electric vehicle deliveries rose 96% to 70,085 units. The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer also recorded strong growth in its electric scooter and e-bike business, with combined deliveries reaching 286,039 units during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Vehicle sales remained the primary contributor to revenue, generating VND 28,833.1 billion (US$1,143.9 million), up 92.7% compared with the same period last year. The company attributed the growth to higher electric vehicle sales volumes in Vietnam and increasing contributions from overseas markets, including India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
VinFast Records Strong Growth in EV Deliveries
VinFast’s electric car deliveries increased 20% compared with the first quarter of 2026 and 96% year-on-year. International markets outside Vietnam accounted for approximately 11% of total deliveries during the quarter.
The company’s electric two-wheeler business recorded an even sharper increase. E-scooter and e-bike deliveries doubled compared with the previous quarter and grew 311% over the second quarter of 2025, reaching 286,039 units.
Total revenue increased 32.9% sequentially, while revenue from vehicle sales rose 33.4% compared with the first quarter. The company continued expanding its retail presence, operating 474 showrooms globally as of June 30, 2026, including company-owned and dealer showrooms.
VF Wild REEV and Autonomous Driving Plans
VinFast has added the VF Wild REEV to its product portfolio. Developed on the company’s next-generation large-vehicle platform, the model combines an electric drivetrain with extended-range capability, designed to provide greater flexibility for longer journeys while retaining the core driving characteristics of an electric vehicle.
The VF Wild is currently available in Vietnam, with international market expansion planned for 2027.
The company is also preparing a pilot programme involving 200 Level 4 autonomous taxis at Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio, Vietnam, in late 2027. The initiative remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals. VinFast is working with relevant authorities on the regulatory framework, safety standards and training protocols required for the programme.
Vietnam Remains VinFast’s Largest Market
VinFast maintained its number-one position in Vietnam’s overall automotive market for 22 consecutive months, beginning in September 2024. Its market share stood at approximately 38% as of June 30, 2026.
During the quarter, the company introduced the new-generation VF 8 and the VF 2, its smallest passenger vehicle. The VF 8 generated more than 12,700 reservations, while the VF 2 attracted over 28,700 reservations within days of their respective launches. These reservations are non-binding and cancellable until customers place deposits.
Outside Vietnam, Southeast Asia and India continued to contribute to the company’s expansion. Among battery electric vehicle brands, VinFast ranked first in the Philippines, fifth in India and eighth in Indonesia during the second quarter.
VinFast Focuses on Global Expansion and Financial Efficiency
VinFast plans to expand its presence across Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Dealer partnerships will remain the primary channel for expanding its distribution network, alongside efforts to strengthen global manufacturing and assembly capabilities.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Pham Nhat Quan Anh said the company would focus on key international markets, product and technology development, and stronger after-sales capabilities.
Chief Financial Officer Lan Anh Nguyen highlighted plans to transition towards a more capital-efficient manufacturing model in Vietnam and develop an additional earnings stream. These initiatives are intended to reduce capital requirements, improve consolidated EBITDA and cash generation over time, and support continued investment in electric mobility.
The company said electric mobility would remain central to its strategy as it works towards sustainable growth and a pathway to profitability.
