The initiative, launched in partnership with Rosmerta Auto Recycling, will initially help eligible customers in Delhi-NCR access authorised vehicle scrappage facilities.
Force Motors Limited has announced an initiative to promote responsible end-of-life vehicle management in India, starting with the Delhi-NCR region. Through a partnership with Rosmerta Auto Recycling Pvt. Ltd., the company aims to make authorised vehicle scrappage more accessible to eligible customers while supporting the recovery and recycling of automotive materials.
Announced on October 22, 2026, the initiative also strengthens Force Motors’ commitment under its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to support the Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme in the region.
Partnership with Rosmerta Auto Recycling
Under the arrangement, eligible Force Motors customers will be able to access Rosmerta’s Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF). The facility will handle the necessary documentation, vehicle depollution and dismantling processes associated with authorised scrappage.
It will also facilitate the segregation and recovery of recyclable materials and provide relevant scrappage documentation, including a Certificate of Deposit wherever applicable.
Force Motors said the initiative is intended to improve customer awareness of organised scrappage channels and encourage the responsible retirement of ageing vehicles. Following the initial rollout in Delhi-NCR, the company will explore similar partnerships in other parts of the country.
Focus on Responsible Vehicle Retirement
The initiative reflects Force Motors’ approach to vehicle ownership, extending its responsibilities beyond manufacturing and the operational life of its products. The company highlighted that, alongside regular maintenance and timely replacement, the responsible disposal of ageing vehicles is an important part of the automotive lifecycle.
Authorised scrappage can help ensure that end-of-life vehicles undergo appropriate processing while allowing materials to be recovered for recycling rather than going to waste. By improving access to organised facilities, Force Motors aims to encourage customers to choose authorised disposal channels.
Commenting on the initiative, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors Limited, said the company’s role extends beyond building and delivering vehicles.
He said the initiative seeks to make authorised disposal easier for customers while encouraging responsible scrappage and the recovery of valuable materials. Firodia added that it represents another step towards improving resource efficiency and promoting responsible practices across the automotive lifecycle.
Extending Sustainability Beyond Manufacturing
Force Motors said the initiative aligns with its broader focus on resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Recovering recyclable materials from end-of-life vehicles is intended to extend the company’s sustainability efforts beyond its manufacturing operations.
The initial focus on Delhi-NCR provides a starting point for expanding customer access to authorised scrappage facilities, with the company considering similar engagements in other regions.
