JSW MG Motor India has launched two campaign films showcasing the electric SUV’s performance, cabin space and long-distance capabilities, with prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh.
JSW MG Motor India has launched a new advertising campaign for the MG Hector Tomahawk EV, highlighting the electric SUV’s performance, spacious interiors and long-distance driving capabilities. The campaign comprises two films, titled ‘Space’ and ‘Range’, which draw inspiration from the legacy of the Tomahawk fighter aircraft flown by the Royal Air Force during World War II.
The campaign aims to connect the aircraft’s reputation for performance and capability with the electric SUV’s features. The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is available at an introductory price of Rs 13.99 lakh, while the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option starts at Rs 4.90 per kilometre. Both pricing options are subject to the conditions specified by the company, with the BaaS offer available for a limited number of bookings.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Campaign Focuses on Space and Range
The two films use a father-daughter interaction to introduce the SUV’s capabilities. The storyline features a pilot who initially questions whether an electric SUV can live up to the Tomahawk name. His daughter then introduces him to the vehicle, gradually changing his scepticism into appreciation.
The ‘Space’ film focuses on the SUV’s spacious cabin, premium interiors, futuristic design and bold stance. Meanwhile, the ‘Range’ film highlights its ability to undertake longer journeys.
Combining humour with the father-daughter dynamic, the campaign attempts to demonstrate how the SUV brings together electric performance, comfort, practicality and long-distance usability.
Commenting on the campaign, Udit Malhotra, Head of Marketing at JSW MG Motor India, said the objective was to present the vehicle’s capabilities in an engaging and relatable manner while connecting them with the legacy associated with its name.
The campaign is live on SonyLIV and the company’s digital platforms.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Battery, Power and Range
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is built on MG’s ADAPT platform and features a 69.2kWh high-voltage MAGIC Battery paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor.
The electric powertrain produces 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque. The SUV offers a certified driving range of 517km on a single charge, according to the company.
For charging, the vehicle supports DC fast charging at up to 90kW. The combination of its battery capacity, claimed range and fast-charging capability is intended to support both everyday driving and longer journeys.
Another key feature is Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality, which the company describes as a first for India. The technology allows users to power appliances, outdoor equipment and even homes directly from the vehicle’s battery.
The V2H capability expands the battery’s potential use beyond powering the SUV, allowing it to serve as an energy source for compatible applications.
