14th edition to bring 55+ exhibitors, government bodies and technology providers together at Bharat Mandapam on October 7-8

New Delhi is set to host the 14th edition of the Transport + Traffic Infratech Expo from October 7-8, 2026, with the event placing a stronger focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), artificial intelligence, connected mobility and smart traffic management. The expo will be held at Bharat Mandapam alongside the Road Infratech Expo and Parking Infratech Expo, while the ITS India Congress will also take place during the two-day event.

The 2026 edition is expected to bring together more than 55 exhibitors, including technology companies and infrastructure solution providers showcasing products and technologies for India’s evolving transport, road and parking infrastructure. Government representatives, policymakers and industry professionals are also expected to participate.

The event is supported by several key government and industry organisations, including the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, National Highways Authority of India, Digital India, CSIR-Central Road Research Institute, Indian Highways Management Company and the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings.

Greater focus on intelligent transport systems

This year’s expo will place increased emphasis on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Intelligent Traffic Management Systems, AI-powered traffic solutions, connected vehicles, integrated mobility infrastructure and Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling.

Public transportation will also receive greater attention, with technologies covering e-ticketing, smart cards, integrated communication systems, digital displays, public-address systems, security and surveillance solutions.

ITS and telematics have emerged as key areas of focus, reflecting the increasing adoption of connected and data-driven technologies for fleet management, traffic control and urban mobility.

ITS India Congress to discuss future of mobility

The ITS India Congress 2026 will be held under the theme “Connected, Integrated and Intelligent Mobility for Viksit Bharat 2047.”

The first day will focus on India’s ITS roadmap, AI-based traffic management, digital enforcement, barrierless tolling, road-user charging technologies including MLFF and GNSS-based systems, and connected mobility technologies such as V2X.

The second day will shift towards multimodal logistics under PM Gati Shakti, capacity building, ITS standards and a Global ITS Leadership Dialogue Roundtable. The event will bring together government representatives, industry players, academic institutions and international ITS organisations from countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.

Industry and government under one roof

The organisers believe that bringing the ITS Congress alongside the exhibition will allow policymakers and transport authorities to engage directly with technology providers and examine solutions on the exhibition floor.

The event is being organised through a strategic alliance between Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, VIS Group and ITS India Forum.

With India’s transport infrastructure rapidly adopting digital technologies, the 2026 edition is expected to provide a platform for discussions around how AI, connected infrastructure, intelligent traffic management and smart mobility can improve road safety, efficiency and the overall transportation ecosystem.

The event will conclude with a valedictory session and award ceremony recognising solutions presented at the National Road Safety Technology Challenge 2026 at IIT Bombay.
